Meridian Development Partners originates, structures and delivers export-oriented industrial infrastructure across West and Central Africa, beginning with the Enugu Export Manufacturing Hub, our flagship development in South-East Nigeria.
Meridian was founded to address a structural absence in Africa's industrial base: the lack of integrated, export-grade manufacturing infrastructure capable of competing in continental and global supply chains.
We work at the intersection of public mandate, private capital, and operational execution. We originate projects with state and federal counterparts, structure blended capital across DFIs and institutional investors, and manage development through to operational handover.
Our orientation is patient. We measure success in industrial capacity created, employment anchored, and export earnings generated over decades, not exit multiples over quarters.
A purpose-built industrial estate developed to host export-oriented manufacturers across light industry, agro-processing, leather, and garments, on the doorstep of the Onitsha trade gateway and within reach of the wider South-East commercial corridor.
The next chapter of African industry will be built, not financed in the abstract.
The African Continental Free Trade Area is operational. For the first time, a single regulatory framework opens 1.4 billion consumers to integrated production. It rewards manufacturers who can stage from inside the bloc.
Nigeria carries the demographic weight of the continent and a domestic market large enough to justify scale on its own. Its industrial recovery is a question of infrastructure, not appetite.
Enugu sits within Nigeria's most enduring entrepreneurial culture: generations of Igbo trading and manufacturing networks anchored by Onitsha, Aba, and Nnewi. Industrial capacity is already in the soil.
Global manufacturers are diversifying away from concentrated production. Africa-bound capital, particularly from China seeking partner geographies, is structurally rising. Meridian is positioned where that capital lands.
Selected institutional categories Meridian engages with in the course of project development.
Meridian engages selectively: with institutional investors evaluating African industrial exposure, manufacturers considering relocation or expansion, and government and multilateral counterparts aligned with our mandate.
